Blazers are back and better than ever. This tailored unisex staple is insanely versatile - and it's not just for business professionals.

I love this powder blue pantsuit from Future Throwback. Lightweight and breathable, this '80s blazer set is the perfect two-piece for summer (though I haven't yet found a place to wear it thanks to quarantine). Baby blue was a huge trend for SS20, so when I saw this set on ASOS Marketplace, I had to have it. Pair the pants and blazer together with a funky hat or throw on a pair of boyfriend jeans and a neutral bra for a street style look.

Shopping secondhand is huge for me. With the growing climate crisis, reducing our individual global impacts is imperative. The fashion industry is the second largest polluting industry in the world thanks to non-sustainable production practices, fast fashion, overflowing landfills and more. On the bright side, vintage clothing has seen a surge in popularity over recent years, thanks to the constant revolving door of major trends in the fashion industry.

Blazers have the ability to bring an outfit from a casual look to a more sophisticated ensemble. I love pairing an oversized 'dad' blazer with vintage Levi's and a sexy bodysuit to balance out the feminine and masculine elements of each.

Wondering where to get your hands on a good quality blazer for a low price? See below for my top picks.

1. Any thrift store. My favorite place for secondhand shopping is Savers, a chain thrift store with a business model of 'Rethink Reuse.' They have stores across New England and own other brands across the world, including Value Village, Unique, and Village des Valeurs. I usually avoid Goodwill if I can help it and go for smaller secondhand shops with better ethical standards.

2. ASOS Marketplace. This online collection of secondhand shops across the world is by far the most convenient way to shop vintage that I have come across thus far. Because this arm of ASOS is comprised of many different independently owned vintage shops, there is a broad range of price options and styles of clothing.

3. My dad's closet. Before letting my parents get rid of any old clothes, I force them to let me go through and take whatever I think I might be able to make work. I have acquired quite a few blazers, sweaters, and button downs from my old man in the past few years. I highly recommend taking a look at family members' options if they happen to be doing a closet clean-out.
