Green is my favorite color. Something about this summer has elevated that love to a level I can hardly explain.
Sage was the color of the spring (along with the annual rush of pastels). But now, it's time for the rest of the green gamut to shine. Emerald, chartreuse, seafoam and pickle are some of my faves.
I'm a huge fan of colorblocking, but a trend I've been obsessed with as of late is monochrome. Different shades of pink, yellow and green look incredible when expressed through each piece of an outfit. A look I've been dying to wear outside of my house can be found below: a sheer sage turtleneck tucked into a pair of muted olive leather pants.

Not only is this hue universally flattering on most skin colors, but IMO it brings a calming presence to a look. For those of us who are not quite comfortable with the idea of wearing a bright pink pantsuit or a neon yellow co-ord, a two-piece with differing shades of the same color can provide a similar elevated effect.
Another Spring trend I'm loving is the fearlessness with which trendsetters everywhere are pairing colors. Purple and green, pink and blue, red and orange. Any and all crazy color combos are acceptable this summer.

Now I just can't wait to find the perfect emerald pantsuit to wear this fall. Paired with a shamrock-shade beanie and some sneaks? OMG.
